Oslo 21st July 2012 - show 48

The prestigious Nobel Peace Prize is awarded annually on 10 December in Oslo City Hall.

Norway is reportedly the country where Bruce currently sells most albums per capita, and his visits here typically make for front-page national news on the days surrounding his shows. For this one-off in Oslo, two major competing newspapers were giving live online song-by-song reviews as the concert unfolded. And of course Steve Van Zandt has become a massive media personality here most recently, with his unique Lilyhammer series that broke records with viewership of around a million (in a country of only five million). Introduced as an "honorary Norwegian," Steve has become bigger than Bruce himself, or at least more widely recognized and appreciated, giving high profile interviews on various topics days before the show. 

Interesting to see that Bruce is such big news in Norway and great stuff about Steve.
