I'm back...

... not sure whether this is good or bad!

We have been away in Italy for a few days.  No decent Internet connection and with daily excursions taking up most of every day there has been no time for blogging. The intermittent Internet access meant no Bruce news for seven days either, so I'm a little behind.

Lots of listening to the iPod helped with the withdrawal symptoms and an unexpected Bruce mention in the novel I was reading made me smile.

We were staying by Lake Maggiore, and among our many days out, we visited Milan. We hoped to see at least one or two posters advertising Bruce's show but we were disappointed. It wasn't for lack of trying though. Whilst the rest of our party were off on a walking tour of Milan, Mike and I hopped on the Metro to find The San Siro (or Stadia Meazza to give the stadium it's official name). We found it but couldn't get  nearer than the car park. Any thoughts of starting a pit queue were quashed.  Not that we had any plans to go ourselves but we could have saved the spot for one of you.

We did have plans to go to USA in the fall but the tickets for New Jersey went on sale whilst we were away. We could have arranged for friends to get tickets for us but decided to leave it to fate - if there was nothing left by the time we got home then it wasn't to be. We had a quick shufti (the link is completely off topic but I chuckled at the origin of the word shufti) today to see if seats are still available but for second night there are only places at the very, very furtherest point from the stage. With the air fare and hotel on top the cost is a bit steep for a seat half a mile away from Bruce.

Tried for Chicago too but no luck there either.

Our thoughts then turn to an extra date in Europe - Milan being the obvious choice as we now know how to get there!!  Some research for later, or... do we hang on to see if there are more USA dates?

Well just a short Sunday post this week - need to catch up with set lists and YouTube clips for the last three shows.  Any suggestions for best bits folks?
